There is no way but production to meet the country's needs in the sanctions era and also in the critical situation that the country is fighting against the deadly coronavirus since late February, Rouhani said, addressing an inauguration ceremony of four major projects of copper industry in the Southern province of Kerman on Thursday.
Despite the US sanctions, Iran creates job opportunities and exports its products, he added.
President Rouhani said that inauguration of landmark national projects in the country is a strong response to the global arrogance by Iranian workers, entrepreneurs and officials.
He added that Iran completes national projects despite the sanctions.
President Rouhani inaugurated four big projects of copper industry in Kerman province through a video conference.
Some 252 million euros investments have been made on the project of Khatoon Abad copper smelting complex and three other projects in the province.
In relevant remarks on Wednesday, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei underlined the necessity for a surge in Iran’s production of different goods, describing it as a way to resist against sanctions and oil prices fluctuations.
"Production can be compared to the body’s immune system. That is, if production is favorable and growing, invasive viruses like sanctions and oil prices cannot harm our economy," Ayatollah Khamenei said, addressing a video conference participated by seven active manufacturers from different parts of the country on the occasion of the Labors Day.
